SFI 2013

4-7 November 2013 - Paris, France

Welcome

Dear Colleagues and Members
of the French Society for Immunology,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the Annual Meeting of the French Society for Immunology (SFI) to be held at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris from 4 to 7 November 2013.

The meeting aims to bring together students, basic science researchers, clinicians and practitioners as well as professionals from the health industry in a forum to exchange and discuss current ideas, concepts and discoveries in fundamental and translational immunology.

Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris

The meeting is organized into 6 plenary sessions and 18 workshops that will include presentations covering a broad range of topics (regulation of innate and adaptive immune responses in the setting of cancer, allergic, autoimmune, inflammatory and infectious diseases). One plenary session on Mucosal Immunology is being co-organized with the Japanese Society for Immunology (JSI). In addition, we have put special emphasis on providing young researchers with the opportunity to discuss their work through abstracts that will be selected for posters or for oral presentations during the workshops.

The SFI 2013 meeting will kick off with the Pierre Grabar Keynote Lecture to commemorate the founding father of the SFI, followed by the Jacques Oudin Award for excellence in Immunology research. Thesis and poster presentation awards will be given at the end of the meeting.

A one-day ‘atelier’ workshop on ”Epigenetics of immunity: tricks of the trade” with state-of-the-art lectures and technical courses will take place on 4 November 2013 just prior to the start of the Annual Meeting. Finally, a session devoted to Continued Medical Education (FMC) session will take place on Wednesday 6 November.

We encourage you to participate actively in the Atelier and Annual Meeting by submitting abstracts, and we hope to have the pleasure to welcome you in Paris from 4 to 7 November 2013!

Sincerely,

James Di Santo
On behalf of the Organizing Committee
