Meeting information

Language

English will be the official language of the Meeting.

Invitation letter

Delegates requiring an invitation letter for visa application to attend the meeting should email the Meeting Administrative Secretariat.
Please note that this will only be provided once personal information is received (first name, last name, address and professional organization).
However, this in no way constitutes an official invitation covering the cost of registration, travel or other expenses.

Name badges

You will receive your personal name badge at the Meeting welcome desk. For security purposes, delegates, accompanying persons and exhibitors must wear their name badges throughout the SFI 2016 Meeting and to all social events.

Certificates of attendance

They will be issued by the Secretariat upon request on the last day of the Meeting.

Posters

The size of all posters must be 1 m x 0.90 m.

General information

Banks, currency exchange and credit cards

Currency in France is the Euro.
 Bank hours are normally 9 am to 5 pm from Monday to Friday. Hotels may exchange money at other times.
 Cash machines are available across the city.
 Visa and Mastercard are the most used credit cards in France. American Express cards are not accepted everywhere.

Passport / visa

A valid passport is required for entry into France. Please check with your local consulate for specific details of visa requirements from your country.

Electricity power supply

Electricity is 220 v.

Smoking

Smoking is banned in all enclosed public places in France, including restaurants and bars.

Taxes

Hotel room tax with State tax is 20% for France, and food and beverage inside a hotel is taxed at 10%. The majority of purchases are subject to State tax of 20%.

Disabled facilities

If you require specific disability facilities, please notify your needs on the Registration Form.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of participants for cancellation, accidents, theft or property loss. Delegates should make their own arrangements in respect of personal insurance.
