Welcome to the 1st Mediterranean Meeting on
Flow Cytometry
Dear Members of the SIC and AFC Cytometry Societies,
Dear Colleagues and Friends
On behalf of the Iberian Society of Cytometry (SIC) and the French Cytometry Association (AFC), it is our great pleasure to welcome you to Granada, Spain, for the 1st Mediterranean Meeting on Flow Cytometry. This inaugural event is the result of a collaborative effort between the SIC and the AFC, who have joined forces to create a unique and ambitious scientific gathering.
The meeting will take place from November 25th to 27th, 2026, at the Granada Exhibition and Conference Center, and will bring together the SIC 2026 Intercalary Congress and the 29th Annual Congress of the AFC for the very first time.
In keeping with the rich scientific traditions of both societies, the program will showcase the latest advances in flow cytometry across key disciplines such as Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, Cell Therapy, Functional Cytometry, and Quality Control. The event will also highlight innovative developments in high-content cytometry, artificial intelligence, automated data analysis, nanocytometry, and other emerging technologies.
To explore these topics, we are honored to welcome renowned national and international speakers who will share their most recent discoveries and discuss their clinical implications. Moreover, this meeting will expand its scope through the participation of experts from other Mediterranean countries, with the goal of building lasting connections in shared areas of interest.
Special attention will be given to promoting the involvement of young cytometrists and early-career scientists, many of whom are active on the international stage and represent the future of our field. The program will also feature six specialized workshops, including sessions on data analysis, spectral cytometry, and imaging cytometry, along with numerous networking opportunities and a commercial exhibition.
We look forward to welcoming you to Granada, a city of extraordinary cultural heritage in southern Spain. We hope you enjoy both the scientific content and the vibrant atmosphere of this landmark event.
With warm regards,
Julia ALMEIDA, President of SIC
Cyrille MIONNET, President of AFC
Catherine BLANC, Past-President of AFC
On the behalf of Organizing and Scientific Committees
