ICAHS 2026

We are delighted to welcome you to the 5^th International Conference on Animal Health Surveillance (ICAHS5), taking place in Hanoi, Vietnam, from 10–12 November 2026.

Organized by the Vietnam One Health Partnership Network (OHPN), the National Institute for Animal Sciences (NIAS), the National Institute of Veterinary Research (NIVR), the Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA), Nong Lam University (NLU), the Centre for Supporting Community Development Initiatives (CSDI), the Institute of Environmental Health and Sustainable Development (IEHSD), CIRAD and ILRI, with the support of the GREASE network, the PREZODE initiative and its operational program PREACTS-ASEACA funded by the French Development Agency (AFD), ICAHS5 will bring together scientists, policy-makers, practitioners, and stakeholders from across the globe to share knowledge, experiences, and innovations in animal health surveillance.

For the first time, ICAHS is hosted in Southeast Asia, reflecting Vietnam and regional leadership and commitment to the One Health approach. The country’s experience in tackling animal and zoonotic diseases, while building multisectoral collaboration, makes Hanoi a unique setting for this global gathering.

Building on the success of previous ICAHS conferences, this edition will focus on advancing surveillance systems and especially community-based surveillance towards a One Health approach—recognizing the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health and the critical role played by the communities in preventing and managing health threats.

We look forward to engaging discussions, fruitful collaborations, and the unique opportunity to exchange ideas in the vibrant city of Hanoi. Together, let us continue shaping resilient and inclusive surveillance systems for a healthier and safer future.
