Cell invasion by viral genomes and cell response

The human genome is under constant threat from invasion by mobile genetic elements, such as retroviruses and retrovirus-like elements. In this session we will discuss the strategies used by these elements to invade the nuclear compartment leading in some particular cases to the stable insertion of their genome into host chromatin.
