5. Hematology 2: Discriminating Normal from Aberrant: a Hands-On Flow Cytometry MRD Workshop in BCP-ALL and T-ALL

Co-facilitators: Lukasz SEDEK & Michaela REITEROVÁ

Workshop Objectives:

This workshop focuses on flow cytometric minimal/mesurable residual disease (MRD) analysis in patients with B-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (BCP-ALL) and T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL), with particular emphasis on pediatric cases.

During the session, participants will analyze measured datasets generated using the EuroFlow BCP-ALL MRD panels (8-color and 12-color) and the EuroFlow T-ALL MRD panel (12-color).

For BCP-ALL, participants will be presented with a range of cases spanning from straightforward to more advanced MRD scenarios, covering different levels of analytical difficulty. Cases from patients receiving targeted therapies will also be discussed. Participants will be guided in the identification of aberrant cell populations using standardized gating strategies, with practical demonstration of the Automated Gating Tool.

For T-ALL, the use of a novel MRD panel will be introduced, followed by hands-on data analysis. Participants will perform supervised gating and interpretation of provided datasets, with real-time support and discussion led by experienced faculty.

Knowledge Requirements: Participants are expected to have basic knowledge on BCP ALL and T ALL MRD analysis and using Infinicyt software.

Number of Participants: Maximum of 20.
