Banks, currency exchange and credit cards
Currency in France is the Euro.
Bank hours are usually 9:00 to 17:00 from Monday to Friday. Hotels may change money at other times.
Cash machines are available across the city.
Visa and Mastercard are the most used credit cards in France. American Express is not accepted everywhere.
Invitation letter
Delegates requiring an invitation letter for visa applications to attend the meeting should email the Conference Administrative Secretariat.
Please note that this will only be provided once personal information will be received (first name, last name, address and professional organization).
However, in no way this letter constitutes an official invitation covering the cost of registration, travel or other expenses.
Passport / visa
A valid passport is required for entry into France. Please check with your local consulate for specific details of visa requirements from your country.

Smoking
Smoking is banned in all indoor public places in France, including restaurants and bars.
Taxes
Hotel room tax and V.A.T. is 19.6 %, food and beverage inside hotel are taxed at 5.5 %. The majority of purchases are subject to 19.6 % V.A.T.

Liability
The organizing committee and/or conference organizer shall not be held liable for personal accidents, losses or damage to private property of registered delegates of the symposium. Delegates should make their own arrangements in respect of personal insurance.

In July the temperatures in Paris usually vary from about 15°C (morning) to 25°C (afternoon).
