The International Conference on Animal Health Surveillance (ICAHS) is a truly unique event that brings together leading experts and decision-makers from science, health, food production, industry and public policy. As a unique platform at the intersection of research, innovation, and practice, ICAHS fosters dialogue and collaboration among the stakeholders who shape the future of animal health surveillance worldwide. Effective surveillance systems are essential for protecting animal health, ensuring food security and safety, supporting sustainable livestock production, and safeguarding public health. Achieving these goals requires close collaboration between scientists, industry representatives, veterinary services, policymakers, and international organizations. ICAHS provides the ideal forum to exchange knowledge, showcase innovations, share best practices, and develop solutions that respond to both local and global challenges.
The 5th ICAHS will be held 10-12 November 2026 in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is organized by the Vietnam One Health Partnership Network (OHPN), the Vietnamese Institute of Animal and veterinary Sciences (VIAS), the Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA), Nong Lam University (NLU), the Centre for Supporting Community Development Initiatives (CSDI), the Institute of Environmental Health and Sustainable Development (IEHSD), CIRAD and ILRI, with the support of the GREASE network, the PREZODE initiative and its operational program PREACTS-ASEACA funded by the French Development Agency (AFD).
